Annual 12th European-Ukrainian Energy Day - “Climate Lockdown: Time to Act Until It Is Too Late”

NUCC is honored to be an information partner for the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency’s Annual 12th European-Ukrainian Energy Day on 10th of June, 2021, “Climate Lockdown: Time to Act Until It Is Too Late” (partner of EU Green Week 2021).

European-Ukrainian Energy Day is the major annual showcase conference, bringing together key players from the Ukrainian, European, and international government sectors; local and international industry to present, analyze, and debate the most relevant issues affecting the growth of the EE and RE sectors in Ukraine in the context of the Association Agreement with the EU, Paris Agreement and the EU Green Deal.

If the quarantine regime would allow, organizers plan a full-day format with up to 100-150 offline participants in Kyiv with the online broadcasting covering 15 000 people (in 2020, there were 10 000 views online of the 11thEUEA Energy Day).

There will be five thematic sessions:

  • to cover urgent topics of the renewable energy
  • energy efficiency
  • green hydrogen
  • the international policy of sustainability and climate actions
  • funding opportunities for Ukraine and investment climate

The first thematic session will be dedicated to the importance of the “green” political agenda for Ukraine’s international partners; two parallel thematic sessions will be aimed to cover the questions of important initiatives in the energy efficiency sphere and current problems in RES sector and ways to resolve them; at the third thematic session there will be discussed green hydrogen prospects and the role of Ukraine as an EU partner in this field; the fourth thematic session is aimed to raise the topic of climate actions funding in Ukraine and related issues.
