On May 31st, NUCC, together with our members, organized the General Assembly and Networking Meeting. Kjartan Tveitnes, Managing Director of NUCC, delivered the annual report and financial accounts for 2022, which were then put forward for approval by the General Assembly. The Assembly also confirmed the new Board of Directors and the Nomination Committee. The event wrapped up with a presentation of several NUCC initiatives, such as the NUCC International Trade Committee and the Young Entrepreneurs Alumni Board.

Following the General Assembly, the Networking Meeting gathered members of the association, partners, and stakeholders. This part of the event was opened by Dr. Liliia Honcharevych, Chargé d`affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in Norway, followed by opening remarks from Halvard Ingebrigtsen, State Secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, who acknowledged the importance of the private sector in supporting and rebuilding Ukraine.

We rounded up our Network Meeting with an updated status report on Ukraine from IFC (World Bank Group), followed by discussions on possible ways for the private sector to invest in and support Ukraine. Yesterday’s panel was represented by Elena Voloshina from IFC, together with Per Bakke Ingebrigtsen from NHO, Arne Mjøs from Itera, and John Kristian Johnsen from Bergen Engines. The importance of public financial instruments and support framework, together with risk sharing, was amongst the important topics being discussed.

We would like to thank our Chairperson of the NUCC Board, Ketil E. Bøe, and Wikborg Rein for hosting our event. We are also grateful to our partners and speakers who helped to make this event a success and to the audience for their time and interest.
