High North Young Entrepreneur 2019
Are you a Young Entrepreneur with ideas to share? Here´s a chance to win 50 000 NOK and have your business idea assessed by experts at the High North Dialogue conference in April.
High North Young Entrepreneur contest is an international pitch competition of Arctic-related business ideas of young entrepreneurs and start-ups. The overall goal for the contest is to encourage young people of the High North to develop their business ideas. The contest final is a part of the program of the annual High NorthDialogue conference in Bodø, Norway. At the final session, three start-ups have an opportunity to pitch their business ideas to 350 conference participants – Arctic experts, and to win financial funding for their business: a check for 50 000 NOK.
How to apply?
Companies and individual entrepreneurs from any country and sphere are eligible to apply; however, the business idea has somehow to be related to the circumpolar north. This may be an individual start-ups or a company registered and operating in the Arctic area, for example, Arkhangelsk, Bodø, Anchorage. This may be a business idea connected to the Arctic. As the contest focus is on the start-ups and fresh business ideas, the company must not be older than two years of the start-up date. Age of the applicant – up to 40 years old.

What is next?
A committee consisting of experts from business and innovations will decide on the three companies who will travel to Bodø to present their ideas at the High NorthDialogue conference on April 3, 2019.
There will be three entrepreneurs at the final, which of them will pitch for three minutes. The High North Dialogue conference participants will vote for the best project, and the winner will get the award straight after the completion is over.
