A Norwegian construction firm is building up wood house production in Ukraine

A Norwegian construction firm has signed a MoU with two factories in Ukraine to build up wood house production for the Norwegain market.

The Norwegian construction firm, Øvstegård Bygg Og Utemiljø AS, is going to cooperate with two Ukrainian wood house factories in building up production of modular based wood houses for the Norwegian market. The Norwegain company will be responsible for the complete process from factory production in Ukraine to «turn key houses» on Norwegian sites.

The first houses will be produced in autumn 2016. Yearly production capacity is approximately 200 houses/apartments.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Øvstegård Bygg og Utemiljø AS and their Ukrainian partners at the Royal Norwegain Embassy in Kyiv 25th of March 2016. The MoU confirms the commitment from both parties to do business. The Norwegain-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (NUCC) has been providing support and has facilitated the deal.

Production and trade in wood elements is an example of the many trade opportunities between Norway and Ukraine.
