Norwegian companies met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman

Yesterday, Norwegian business representatives working in Ukraine had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, where they talked about the business climate in Ukraine, challenges, and opportunities, as well as plans, perspectives and new ideas for cooperation. UkraineInvest Chairman Daniel Bilak, Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Max Nefyodov, UkraineInvest Deputy Chairman Ivan Yuryk, Head of State agency on energy efficiency Sergiy Savchuk also attended the meeting.

The Norwegian side was represented by the top management of the Norwegian companies working in Ukraine in the renewable energy sector, energy efficiency, IT, seafood and maritime. Christen A. Mordal, Vice Chairperson and Member of the Executive Committee in NUCC as well as Norwegian Seafood Council representative opened the meeting and the breakfast was moderated by HE Ole Terje Horpestad, Ambassador in Norway to Ukraine.

The Norwegian companies presented their projects and talked about issues and opportunities for their businesses in Ukraine. They also emphasized that the business climate in the country has visibly improved in recent years. Prime Minister stated that the Norwegian companies are among the most awaited investors in Ukraine as they are reliable partners with modern technologies and high standards of doing business.

The business breakfast was organized by Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with UkraineInvest and supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kyiv. The event was one of the milestones in preparation for the official visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine to Norway and the upcoming Norwegian-Ukrainian Business Forum, that will take place in Oslo on January 28.
