Last week, on Thursday, 2nd of June, we gathered our members and partners for the NUCC General Assembly and Networking meeting to share updates, discuss the impact of the war on bilateral cooperation, and offer support to one another in these challenging times.

The focus of the world’s attention is currently on Ukraine. We believe that it is critical to not only discuss the current status of business but also how to move forward and support both Ukrainian and Norwegian companies in Ukraine, as well as plan for future projects, trying to identify pressing needs and opportunities.

During the first official part, NUCC Managing Director Kjartan Tveitnes presented the Chamber’s activities and financial results for 2021. After the presentation, the NUCC members approved the Board of Directors by voting. The Nomination Committee proposes the following persons to be re-elected to the NUCC Board of Directors until the Annual Meeting 2024:

• Øyvind Sætren, Pelagia (re-elected)
• Christian Svensson, N-iX (re-elected)
• Jeanette Small, with deputy Marius Haslund, TietoEvry (re-elected)

In addition to the re-elected members, the following members will remain in the Board until Annual Meeting 2023:

• Ketil Bøe, Wikborg Rein
• Kristian Andersson, SEB Bank Ukraine
• Frode Mellemvik, Nord University
• Arne Mjøs, Itera ASA
• Valeri Andreev, Scatec
• Magnus Johansen, with deputy Børge Tvorg, NBT

Øyvind Sætren and Thor Asbjørn Halvorsen were re-elected for the Nomination Committee.

Following the official part, the stage was further used to present the current status of the bilateral cooperation, as well as for the discussion panel, where companies working between Norway and Ukraine shared their insights, strategies, and plans for the nearest future. We would like to thank our member-companies Itera, Pelagia, Emergy, Scatec, and Zeist for taking part inthe conversation and expressing their perspectives on working in the new reality.

The event was rounded up with networking and mingling, where we continued to build plans, discuss ideas, and hope together for a bright future.
