NUCC Hosted Ukrainian Cluster Alliance Delegation in Oslo

On October 14-15, the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC) hosted a delegation from the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance (UCA) in Oslo. The visit was initiated by the Ukrainian clusters to establish connections with counterpart organizations in Norway, with the aim of fostering potential cooperation, drawing inspiration, and adapting best practices.

The Ukrainian delegation included representatives from various sectors and organizations, such as the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance, the Ukrainian Dual-use Technology Cluster, the Cybercluster, the Cluster of Circular Economy, Greencubator, and the Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine. The UCA delegation participated in a series of introductory meetings and networking events.

The visit enabled a detailed exploration of collaborative opportunities between the two countries, focusing on innovation and sustainability.

Delegation Program

The first day began with an introductory meeting at the NUCC office, where participants reviewed the current landscape of Norwegian-Ukrainian trade and business relations. Throughout the day, the delegation also engaged in discussions with SMB Norge, Sirk Norge, the Construction City Cluster, and the Norwegian Center for Circular Economy.

These discussions highlighted ongoing projects and provided insights into Norway's circular economy practices, waste management strategies, and sustainable development initiatives, laying a solid foundation for future collaborations. A key event was the Business Breakfast on the second day of the visit, hosted by Innovation Norway in collaboration with NUCC and NHO. This event showcased Norwegian initiatives aimed at supporting Ukraine, with a focus on innovation, reconstruction, and sustainable development. The Ukrainian Cluster Alliance presented its project portfolio, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in sectors such as clean technology, cybersecurity, and advanced manufacturing.

The second day concluded with meetings across various sectors, including a session with SINTEF and other NUCC partners involved in technology, miltech, and dual-use products. These interactions further strengthened the ties between Norwegian and Ukrainian businesses, paving the way for future collaborations. The Ukrainian Cluster Alliance’s visit to Oslo successfully laid the groundwork for enhanced cooperation, creating new opportunities for both countries to advance in critical sectors. This was UCA's first visit to Norway, and we look forward to hosting many more in the future.
