Diia City: Legal Updates and Military Service Reservation
In December, we hosted a meeting on the legal aspects of Ukraine's Diia City IT ecosystem in collaboration with our member law firm, Asters. We covered newly added IT activities, recent tax regulation changes, and mechanisms for deferring or exempting employees from military service - a pressing concern for businesses in Ukraine.
The first presentation outlined the Diia City framework, including criteria for residency, IT activities, the registration procedure, employment models, and the special tax regime.
The second presentation focused on the reservation procedure for military service, explaining how to obtain critical importance status, reservation periods, salary requirements, and how reservations can be canceled.
