This morning Russia launched a new forceful military operation against Ukraine. 

• The situation in the country remains uncertain. Extensive strikes on various defense facilities, border units and Russian troops crossing border points are reported. 

• Military martial law is imposed. The National Security and Defense Council is working in an emergency mode. 

• The Ukrainian state will continue their efforts to ensure that the situation in the economy remains stable. Banking and financial systems, electricity, internet and telecommunication is in general reported as functioning. 

• NUCC will maintain efforts to monitor the situation on the ground. The Chamber urge members with personnel in the country to stay calm, take precautionary measures and take care of family, loved ones and those who need help. 

• NUCC condemns Russia’s heinous attack on Ukraine. These unprovoked forceful military operations are a clear further violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Country-wide strikes on military and other important defense facilities, border units, and a seriously aggravated situation throughout the country are reported. Russian vehicles and troops crossing border points are also reported from several sources. 

Military martial law is imposed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine and law enforcement agencies of the state are engaging the enemy. The National Security and Defense Council is working in an emergency mode. Despite recent developments and a very uncertain situation, NUCC urges members and their personnel to remain calm, take precautionary measures, and take care of family, loved ones and those who need help. Where possible to continue cooperation, trade and investments, reducing the uncertainty by ensuring that jobs are staying. 

The Ukrainian state will continue their efforts to ensure that the situation in the economy and national currency is stable and that banking and financial systems functions as normal. The President of Ukraine has urged businesses to go through this difficult period with commitment to protect Ukrainians, their jobs, and their business operations. 

The security of our members remains of the highest attention and concern to NUCC. As of now we are reaching out to members to get an overview of their security situation and operations, which we will convey further to relevant authorities now looking to find ways to support Ukraine. In order to promptly report and act upon any changes on the ground that affect business operations and personnel, NUCC will continue to monitor the security situation in cooperation with partners and members. 

The Chamber of Commerce condemns in the strongest possible terms Russia’s heinous attack on Ukraine. These unprovoked forceful military operations are a clear further violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It is NUCC’s assessment that Russia’s deplorable attack and use of military force in 

Ukraineonlycement Ukraine’s long-term commitment and necessity for Euro-Atlantic integration andinternal reforms,while strengthening the support of its international partners.
